A little bit of PINK!

This is my first pink Saturday post! Make sure you drop by How Sweet The Sound for more pink happiness!

I couldn't resist sharing this beautiful Christmas cactus and its gorgeous bloom!

Okay, here are the last of the garden blooms that I meant to share with everyone weeks ago! Sorry I'm late!

And these adorable figurines! The first one belonged to my grandmother, I cherish this sweet little girl...

Beverly asked for favorite holiday recipes, so I picked my son's favorite, "Ginger Snaps"

 1 cup sugar
 1 cup (scant) shortening
 1 egg
 4 tablespoons molasses
 2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon

Cream together sugar and shortening on medium speed, add eggs and molasses, mix well. Combine dry ingredients and blend into sugar mixture, set aside to rest 1 to 2 hours. Roll dough into marble size balls, place on greased sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 325 degree.

Blessings ~n~ Happy Pink Saturday!

  1. I love that pink Christmas cactus, that pink is so vibrant. I've tried raising a couple of Christmas cactus, never had much luck with them. My fault, I'm sure, I'm not as dedicated a gardener as I imagine myself being. Love the pink figurines as well. I'd cherish the first one just for being my grandma's, and she is a sweety, but those dancing 50's kids are so fun!

  6. Happy Pink Saturday Sweetie....
Welcome and I am so thrilled to meet you. What a gorgeous share today. I love the pink Christmas cactus. The color is so beautiful and vibrant. Does it say happy or what?

Your petunias and roses are also just so elegant. My roses are just starting to bloom in full again. I live in Phoenix, and the summer heat does such a number on them. This is my favorite time of year for blooms out here. I love your deep red one. I could just smell the fragrance as I looked through your beautiful blog home. Thank you for sharing them.

Oh how I love your little figurines. The little girl is so delightful, but I have got to tell you those little 50's looking dancers, just stole my heart. They are precious.

I am Country Wings in Phoenix, your newest follower. I can't wait to see what you share next. Please stop over and say hi. I would be so honored if you signed up to follow me as well. I love meeting new friends and sharing ideas.

    Many country hugs sweetie, Sherry
